Wanton mee

The char-siew and the roast pork here is simply marvelous.
The layer of fats though sinful, but superbly delicious.

云吞面

The best char-siew is the proportion of fat + meat equally thick, with the outer layer slight charred to perfection. This char siew totally meet the expectations.

金瓜莲子芋泥

No teochew cuisine is complete without this signature dessert.
Cooked to perfection with natural sweetness from the ingredients.

G7 Liang Kee Teochew Restaurant
Havelock Road

双味斗鲳

The pomfret was cooked in two ways - deep fried and steamed. The crispiness of the fish was perfect and one can't even feel any bones in it at all.

韭皇虾球

The vege is the inner shoot of the 韭菜, which explains this an expensive dish.

潮州卤水鸭

Traditional style of teochew braised duck. Not salty and the duck meat is smooth.

潮州猪脚冻

This is the ultimate. For those who has never tried this before, you must try it here. Near 'extinct' true authentic teochew cuisine and not easily available anywhere.

Ngoh Hiang

Ingredients include pork, water chestnut, prawns.

Bakwan Kepiting

Traditional peranakan minced pork with crab meat balls. This small bowl of 3 little pieces of meatballs cost $5, which in my view - is pricey.

Assam fish

They use black pomfret for this dish, which is a slight disappointment.

笋粿

In my opinion, the best soon-kueh in town. 皮薄馅厚
Have been patronising this stall for a decade.

冰糖葫芦

Seen so much about this sweet dessert on those tv drama serials.
Finally tried it.

臭豆腐

This is the 'mild' version - not as smelly as the other ultimate version.
Quite like the taste of this though.

One of the decent meal I had in Beijing.
This 'washbowl' size cost RMB100 (about $20)

木耳肉片

This was quite nice, but the chicken meat comes with lots of soft bones.
Which left me wondering whether is it the chicken backside meat...

Similar to our 豆花水, minus the sugar. A very simple and typical breakfast choice for the locals.
