Basil leave with chicken

Typical Thai dish, though the more authentic style comes with slight gravy.

Curry fish head

Fish head portion is small. Taste wise still managed a pass.

Lots of oats covered over peeled prawns. Perfect for lazy people who hate to peel prawn shells.

Seen so much about this sweet dessert on those tv drama serials.
Finally tried it.

This is the 'mild' version - not as smelly as the other ultimate version.
Quite like the taste of this though.

Something similar to our 锅贴. The skin abit too thick though.

One of the decent meal I had in Beijing.
This 'washbowl' size cost RMB100 (about $20)

This was quite nice, but the chicken meat comes with lots of soft bones.
Which left me wondering whether is it the chicken backside meat...

The soup is slightly bland, but overall, still ok.

Huge serving of soup that costs only RM6 ($1.20).
Dumplings taste ok.

Full of ingredients but come with an economical price - RM8 (about $1.60)

Beijing dumplings with pork ingredients. Taste not bad.
But beware when placing order - the locals order this dish by weight!

The most famous noodles in Beijing, but totally not to my liking at all. Huge disappointment.

Similar to our 豆花水, minus the sugar. A very simple and typical breakfast choice for the locals.

A typical teochew fish. Gravy goes best with porridge/rice.
Very delicious.

The braised duck meat here is quite smooth and not so dry.
